Overview
Description & Construction
What sets the Top Tech apart is its “Garaga-standard” engineering, which focuses on eliminating “thermal bridges” (points where cold can bypass the insulation):
-
23-Gauge Steel: This is a commercial-grade thickness, significantly heavier and more durable than the 25 or 26-gauge steel found on standard residential doors.
-
Wood End Blocks: Garaga uses kiln-dried pine end blocks rather than steel caps. Since wood is a natural insulator, it prevents heat from escaping through the ends of the door sections.
-
InterLok™ Joints: The sections connect with a triple-contact weatherseal that prevents air infiltration, even in high-wind conditions.
-
Dura+ Hardware: Includes 14-gauge galvanized steel tracks and reinforced metal plates for attaching the opener and hinges.
