Ugh!<\/p>\n<p>Haha, well, it doesn&#8217;t have to be when you plan ahead and whip up a batch of these Paleo Turkey and Sweet Potato Poppers. My kids loved them and they are a healthy, well-balanced lunch or anytime snack. &nbsp;So, I would definitely make a double batch next time and freeze them for an easy grab and go protein for myself as well.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Recipe:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>1 pound ground turkey or chicken<\/li>\n<li>2 cups shredded sweet potato or yam&nbsp;<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp coconut flour<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp coconut oil melted<\/li>\n<li>&nbsp;2 tbsp chives (fresh or dry)<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tbsp onion powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp sea salt<\/li>\n<li>1 tsp chili powder<\/li>\n<li>2 tbsp fresh chopped parsley<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Instructions:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Pre-heat oven to 400F, grease a cookie sheet with a little coconut oil.<\/li>\n<li>Mix all ingredients together and roll into small balls, then slightly flatten with your hand (I got 20).<\/li>\n<li>Cook for 24-28 minutes, turning half way, and broiling for 1-2 minutes at the end to crisp to tops.<\/li>\n<li>Serve with homemade guacamole or fire roasted salsa.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<div id=\"attachment_7221\" style=\"width: 5194px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0251.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7221\" class=\"wp-image-7221 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0251.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5184\" height=\"3456\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-7221\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">2 cups shredded sweet potato or yam<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_7222\" style=\"width: 5194px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0253.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7222\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7222\" src=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0253.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5184\" height=\"3456\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-7222\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">I found this coconut flour at Superstore!<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_7223\" style=\"width: 5194px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0255.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7223\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7223\" src=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0255.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5184\" height=\"3456\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-7223\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Mix everything together and roll into balls.<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_7224\" style=\"width: 5194px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0270.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7224\" class=\"wp-image-7224 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0270.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5184\" height=\"3456\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-7224\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Serve with fresh-cut veggies and guacamole and salsa!<\/p><\/div>\n<div id=\"attachment_7225\" style=\"width: 5194px\" class=\"wp-caption aligncenter\"><a href=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0269.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-7225\" class=\"size-full wp-image-7225\" src=\"https:\/\/kelowna.website\/6\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/09\/IMG_0269.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"5184\" height=\"3456\"><\/a><p id=\"caption-attachment-7225\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Seriously good.<\/p><\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Back to school=Back to school snacks and lunches!
