Pre-Treatment Guidelines

Blood Thinners: Aspirin, ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), naproxen (Aleve), and other NSAIDs should be avoided for 7–10 days before your treatment.
Fish Oil & Omega-3 Supplements: Discontinue these for 7–10 days, as they can increase the risk of bruising.
Vitamin E & Herbal Supplements: Avoid high doses of Vitamin E and herbal products like Ginkgo biloba, St. John’s Wort, and ginseng for at least 7 days prior.
Prescription Blood Thinners: Medications like warfarin or clopidogrel should only be stopped if approved by your prescribing doctor.
Alcohol & Smoking: Refrain from consuming alcohol and smoking for at least 24 hours before your appointment to minimize potential side effects.
Health Conditions: Notify your provider if you have a history of cold sores or are experiencing any active infections or skin conditions.

Post-Treatment Guidelines

Avoid Pressure: Do not massage or press on treated areas for at least 24 hours unless directed by your provider.
Exercise & Heat Exposure: Avoid strenuous exercise, saunas, or hot tubs for 24 hours to reduce swelling and bruising risks.
Skincare Products: Use gentle cleansers and avoid aggressive scrubbing or exfoliation for the first day.
Makeup: You can apply light makeup after 24 hours, but avoid heavy application immediately post-treatment.
Follow-Up: Attend follow-up appointments to assess results and plan for maintenance treatments if needed.
